Our technicians repair and maintain all major forklift brands, including Toyota, Crown, Hyster, Yale, Raymond, Nissan, and Caterpillar. We handle everything from a single machine to mixed-brand fleets, with mobile forklift services at your site and full repair capability in our shop. - Frequently Asked Questions
Quick Answers, Quick Solutions.
Common questions from San Diego businesses about renting, buying, and servicing forklifts with us.
Most manufacturers set planned maintenance by operating hours, and the exact interval is listed in your operator's manual. Forklifts running multiple shifts, working outdoors, or operating near the coast usually need service more often than a single-shift indoor unit.
Under Cal/OSHA Title 8, Section 3650(t)(7), drivers must check the forklift at the start of each shift, including tires, horn, lights, battery, controller, brakes, steering, cooling system, and lift system. Unsafe forklifts must stay out of service until repaired.
Yes. Miramar Forklift offers mobile forklift services across San Diego County, so many repairs and maintenance visits happen at your facility. Major work such as engine teardown or reconditioning is completed in our Miramar shop, where we have full equipment.
Reconditioning makes sense when the frame, mast, and counterweight are sound and the repair cost stays well below the price of a replacement. If the forklift has very high hours and repeated failures, replacing it usually costs less over time.
Share the make, model, serial number, fuel type, and hour meter reading, plus a description of the problem and any warning codes on the display. Note when the issue started and whether the forklift can still move safely. Photos help too.
